Our Events
From its inception in 2006 TANLIT has hosted various cultural and educational activities/events. These include:

This is our hallmark event and our invitation cards are sought after by the community. Our Christmas party is unlike another as it is a way to showcase hospitality the Nigerian way. Our invitation comes free of cost to the invitees unlike the norm in our community. The attendees get to experience the Nigerian culture in the cuisine, fashion, music and dance. Menus included items like cow head pepper soup, beef soya, egusi and ogbono soups, jollof rice, fried rice, beef pie and Chin-chin.
At this annual event we had also given talks to educate the attendees about Nigeria as well as given some fashion talks and mini dramas.
We have hosted various comprehensive health fairs especially aimed at the districts where regular doctor visits are not common.
TANLIT in fostering relations with our host community has participated in the events by providing Nigerian fashion shows and demonstrating how to tie the Nigerian gele. In one year we provided drama on a typical Marriage ceremony in the Igbo culture. We also sell Nigerian cuisine at these event to give participants a taste of Nigeria.
We have provided TV talks, TV Nigerian fashion shows and a TV cooking show where we made Nigerian Stew, Akara and Moi-Moi.
We have provided outfits and talks for a fashion show that was incorporated into a beauty pageant by the hospital attendants.
